Paula’s Plush, Behind the MOTHER 3 Tribute & MOTHER 3 Source Textures Found!

Hobonichi MOTHER Project Announces “Paula’s Plush!”

The Hobonichi MOTHER Project has smaaashed the headlines with some exciting news going into the holidays! Teaming up with PARCO, Hobonichi will be hosting a “MOTHER Museum” throughout the year end until new year. At this event, the previously limited time replica screens will be available for purchase, along with many pieces of merchandise both new and old!

And speaking of new products – check out this wonderful, brand new miniature plush of Paula’s teddy bear! Like the item in the game, this bear can follow your footsteps by holding on it’s pull string! It’s even been designed so it’ll keep its gravity and not fall over when you hold on to it; this is something the team at Hobonichi paid extra attention to and is very proud of.

So, keep an eye on the Hobonichi MOTHER Project store this holiday season when the “Paula’s Plush” toy launches, alongside the grand opening of MOTHER Museum.

Source Textures for the MOTHER 3 Logo Discovered by Fans!

PineappleCarl strikes again with a brand new, exciting discovery! While checking out the Japanese website Sozaijiten (a “material dictionary” Nintendo often uses to source textures for their most popular titles), he came across the primary texture used for the wood portion of MOTHER 3‘s logo!

It is important to note, this only pertains to the GBA version of the logo – as the N64 version of MOTHER 3 had a fully 3D rendered logo, which went through a couple of variations. The hunt is still on for the other material textures used in the logo — such as the peeled wood and ring on the number 3’s stump. Please cheer PineappleCarl on, and the other avid researchers as they try and locate the remaining textures.
