In this section, you should be able to find any of the MOTHER/EarthBound Beginnings publications currently known, some of which vary in quality, in which we are adamant about finding higher quality images when possible. In the meantime, this is what we could find from various websites.
This is an American Magazine, detailing information about the localization of MOTHER to EarthBound. There’s a few spelling errors here and there; Volume 18 of Nintendo Power.
A retrospective look at unreleased EarthBound Zero (NES). Game Informer was able to play this game before it was cancelled, stating it was a shame it never released.
With this scan this was a snip from a publication in Game Informer, detailing information about the Baby in Youngtown/Easter.
A scan covering a prototype of EarthBound/MOTHER was found; EPROM, that is, and it’s found its way on the Internet. Source of this magazine is still unknown.
An English review of MOTHER, with some spelling errors in between. They misspelled Shigesato Itoi as “Shigetata Itoi”.
An article about Gaming’s Greatest, which mentions Satoru Iwata’s involvement with the MOTHER series.
An article about MOTHER after the release of EarthBound. A Spanish magazine that covers a retrospective of MOTHER.
Another retrospective look at MOTHER/EarthBound, which summarizes a brief story about the game, such as its setting being in modern days, etc.

Power-Up Book, “How Japanese Video Games Gave the World an Extra Life”
An excerpt from this book describes parts of the MOTHER series and mentions Japan’s most influential JRPGS; Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and MOTHER to name a few. There’s some information about Itoi here as well, which goes somewhat into detail about the MOTHER series including mentions of MOTHER, MOTHER 2, MOTHER 3, and MOTHER 1+2.
