This show marks what was likely the first encounter between MOTHER 2 Producer / Pokémon Company President Tsunekazu Ishihara, who worked with TV studio SEDIC at the time, and Shigesato Itoi. It’s also possible this may be the first time Ishihara met Satoshi Tajiri before Pokémon.
