The second in my series of weekly scan releases until the 2022 Mother Direct is Game Geniuses ’98: a book filled with images of and information about various game developers. Satoshi Tajiri, Yuji Horii, Gunpei Yokoi, Shigesato Itoi, and so many more are all featured!

This book isn’t centered on MOTHER, but Itoi’s page does feature the Nintendo 64 version of MOTHER 3. I think it’s important to have this book available on our site to document all of these awesome creators. These pictures of them all in the early days of gaming are fun to look at, even if you don’t know the Japanese to read it all! I don’t have the time now to translate this, but if anyone else wants to attempt it, it’s all here for you (something I’m realizing will be a running theme with most of these scans).
