MOTHER 2 Art – Models

MOTHER 2 / EarthBound characters continued the trend of the first game, depicting them in most promotional materials using paper clay models.

Character Models

The cast of characters from the game, including Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo, were made into paper models. The official Banpresto figures of many of these characters were based off of these models.

Enemy Models

Almost all of the enemies in MOTHER 2 / Earthbound were also made into paper models. These can be found in various guide books, including the official Player’s Guide.

Secrets of MOTHER 2 Showcase

In 2024, many of the models originally showcased for MOTHER 2 were brought out by Hobonichi once again to celebrate the game’s 30th anniversary. Below are photos taken of the models taken by Famitsu and a few other people as noted in their captions.
